This is a quaint street in the well preserved UNESCO World Heritage town of Iwami Ginzan in the heart of Shimane Prefecture and a key feature in our newly released tour: Izumo, Iwami Ginzan & Gonokawa River Trail. Once the site of the longest running silver mine in Japan, visitors can not only check out historical mining sites but also enjoy the atmosphere of the town, many buildings have been renovated into guesthouses and restaurants making it an attractive and unforgettable visit.
