As the old year comes to a close
May you deeply inhale all
The gifts and blessings it brought
And exhale fully all
The pain and suffering you endured.
Let the knowledge and strength you developed
Moving through the past be fully present as you
Greet the New Year!
 
May you know the living presence of the Divine
That warms and comforts your soul
Like the gentle rays of the sun
Caressing your face on a winter day.
 
May you feel the living presence of the Divine
In the tides of your breath, the drum beats of your heart,
The light in a loved one's eyes and the warmth of their touch.
 
May your presence in the world
Be a quiet reminder for others
Of God’s gracious and generous presence,
For you carry the One in your heart
Wherever you go, whether you know it or not.
 
May you tread your path through time
Leaving footprints of love, compassion and wisdom.

Divine Stillness - Divine Presence
January 9, 2022 - Virtual One Day Silent Meditation Retreat
7am-7pm, in your home!

In the profound stillness of meditation we come to know the living Presence of the One, the Self of all.  Start the New Year by giving yourself the gift of deep communion and union with the Divine.  On January 9th this one day silent meditation retreat will be offered via Zoom and include silent meditation, chanting, contemplation, walking meditation and more. Registration is now open, just use the email below. The retreat will begin at 7am and conclude at 7pm (NY time zone).  Group practices via Zoom will be at 7-9am, Noon-2pm, and 5-7pm.  In between those times participants will continue on their own doing meditative and contemplative practices given in the retreat.  Fee: Donation. People will be able to offer dana, the Buddhist term for a donation in support of the teacher, to Lawrence Edwards, via PayPal: https://paypal.me/drle.  This isn't a tax-deductible donation. If you would rather donate using a different method such as Venmo or Zelle please email your request to info@anamcara-ny.org.

The Soul's Journey - 6 week course
Sundays – January 16 – February 20, 2022
4-5pm via Zoom.  Registration required.

Studying the archetypal themes of your soul’s journey through life, the great quest and purpose of your life, empowers you to engage more fully in your path.  The meaning and purpose of life that we are given in a materialist culture lacks the depth to feed our souls.  We're infinitely more than consumers and ambitious goal seekers.  Entering and contemplating the depths of our being give greater power, consciousness and heart to our lives.  The ancient path of Kundalini awakening and unfolding further illuminates our path as C. G. Jung and Joseph Campbell discussed in their writings.  The course is based on the book: The Soul’s Journey: Guidance From The Divine Within.  The course will be a live interactive discussion group and audio recordings of the sessions will be available to registered participants. 

Participants need to purchase the book from their favorite bookseller or online at Amazon, though I hope you order it from a local bookseller!

Dear Friends,

The New Year will bring program changes, but our mission remains the same: to make the highest meditation teachings and practices freely available to everyone and to support people in their ongoing meditation practices. We do this through free evening meditation programs on Thursday evenings via Zoom, courses and retreats, through our website, YouTube, and this e-newsletter.  We're switching from offering the evening program every week to offering it twice per month on the 1st and 3rd Thursday.  We're offering additional programs in 2022 starting with the one day Divine Stillness - Divine Presence retreat on January 9th and then the 6 week course on The Soul's Journey starting on January 16th.  All are welcome!
 
You can subscribe to our YouTube channel for free and "like" the videos you enjoy!  Simply doing this helps to make our offerings more available to others.

Meditation is key to our inner and outer transformation. Through meditation we directly experience our innate fullness, free of want or need.  In meditation we directly experience our unity with all - the illusion of "other" is dispelled. 

There is only One, the Divine, known by many different names, but always One. One all-embracing Divine, One all-embracing Love.  Tat Twam Asi!  Thou Art That!
