Vol. 7. Issue 22
This week, we have released the second video from our latest video series about our school. This video is about our STEAM program! Science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (STEAM) play an invaluable part in helping our students to thrive both in school and in the future. After the break, we will be releasing more new videos on our channel and across social media. So please like, subscribe, and share these videos widely.

NAISR's Model UN Club is very excited to announce that they will be traveling to Warsaw, Poland in March to attend the Model United Nations Conference at The British International School Warsaw.  Model United Nations is an extra-curricular activity in which students typically roleplay delegates to the United Nations and simulate UN committees. Simulating a real United Nations conference, this year's focus will be the Rights of the Child. Good luck to our 'delegates' and we will keep you updated on how they get on.

Yesterday afternoon, our Varsity Boys basketball team played RISS here in the NAISR gymnasium. The Varsity boys played a dominant game with an impressive 94-22 win! The boys seem to be peaking at the right time, players are seeing the game more, adapting and blocking the opponents out, and are more responsive during the game time. Best of luck to the team who are playing again this afternoon and we look forward to some more exciting sports events during the first week back, including three NECIS tournaments in Dusseldorf, Antwerp and Rotterdam! Go Sharks!

A reminder that NAISR is closed next week for the February break.

All the best from our family to yours and enjoy the break.

Look for some updates on our social media channels. Go Sharks!
Care Backpacks for JBRR
NAISR students have been busy collecting items so that they can put together emergency backpacks for the children at JBRR. Any class (from K - Grade 8) that managed to fill five or more backpacks, received free tickets for everyone in the class to last night's movie night. The classes that managed to achieve this were Kindergarten, Grades 1, 3, 4 and 5! A BIG thank you to Ms. Ana Nunes, STUCO members, and to all the families that supported this STUCO initiative to make a difference to disadvantaged children in Rotterdam.

Parents can visit the book fair with their children and see the marvelous selection but classes will also be visiting during the day. If you would like your child to purchase a book during the class visit you may enclose between 10 and 15 Euros in the envelope provided by the teachers this week. Envelopes should be returned to homeroom teachers before March 3rd.
