SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE: CHOREOGRAPHY ROUND & THE BIG CUT
After thousands of online submissions as well as hundreds of live auditions, only the very best made it to the Choreography Round. Unfortunately, they learned it was only going to get tougher. The entire process took place in a single day and before it was over, the Top 24 dancers would learn their fate if they made the Top 12 to advance to the Live shows. Forty-two dancers started that morning and the cuts began. The dancers were split by genre and then they performed the choreography taught to them by the incomparable Mandy Moore. Round 1 kicked off the show with Contemporary choreography. And then there were 32 remaining dancers. Round 2 was Partnering and the genres were mixed. Hip Hop partnered with Ballroom and it got interesting. After that round, 24 dancers remained. Next, Mandy Moore taught them a production dance in just one hour. The dancers left the stage to get into all white costumes and then they all performed together. Dancers were fighting for their lives and it showed. It will be hard to pick the Top 12 from this group. And we will not find out who was selected until next week’s show. So stay tuned and get ready to meet the dancers on track to become America’s Favorite Dancer!
