SHoWLE has a new outreach project that debuts on February 5th

Glass City Humanist is our new podcast, hosted by President Douglas Berger. He will present hints and tips for living as a Humanist and he will bring news and information of interest to secular people living in Northwest Ohio.

In the debut episode of Glass City Humanist, host Douglas Berger gives a brief manifesto of what the podcast will be about. Next he talks to Matt McMahon, one of the organizers of Toledo Skeptics. We discuss the format of the group, what is and isn't skepticism, and we touch on some troubling issues in the general skeptic community hurtful ideas about the transgender community and some incidents of inappropriate conduct with women by high profile skeptics.

Winter Weather Reminder

As the temperature drops and we start to have snow storms this winter, here is a reminder:

SHoWLE is subject to the rules and regulations of the venues where we have events and meetings. For example the Toledo Public Library closes their branches during a Level 3 weather alert. If a venue closes due to the weather (or other non-scheduled issue) then consider any SHoWLE meeting or event scheduled at that venue on that date to be cancelled. Most likely the cancelled event or meeting won't be rescheduled.

We will try to send out notices as we know of any closings. You can find updated information on our website and our social media profiles.
