Over the past 5 weeks or so Klaus (my VW) and I will have driven over 1,600 miles to attend the Fall District Meetings. For those of you who attended, hopefully you were excited and entertained by our presentations. And more importantly gained a little knowledge at the same time!
For those of you that haven’t been to a Fall District Meeting, I don’t want you to miss out on all of the information…
Club Giving
Clubs often ask why should we give part of our local money to SIA? Aren’t our dues enough? Well the short answer is, your club should give because it comes back to our Region and giving allows us as Soroptimist to help more Women and Girls. 100% of the Club Giving money goes to help fund the Dream Programs, without Club Giving these worthwhile programs would not be able succeed. To find out more please go check this link out.
Founders Pennies
Each year, Soroptimist clubs make Founders Pennies donations to celebrate the founding of our organization and support its global Dream Programs. Founders Pennies are a classic, time-honored tradition for clubs, and a creative way to help fund life changing programs. Founders Pennies help create a local and global relationship between Soroptimist clubs and members, and the women and girls who need our support.
Laurel Society
For nearly 100 years, Soroptimist has been improving the lives of women and girls in local communities and throughout the world. Because of the unique membership structure of Soroptimist, while dues pay for member services, governance, and administration, your charitable contributions are used for fundraising and program expenses.

Laurel Legacy
Naming Soroptimist International of the Americas as a beneficiary in your will is an excellent way to guarantee that women will continue to receive the help they need through Soroptimist programs. You may also choose to participate in other planned giving options, such as with gifts of appreciated real estate or personal property, gifts of life insurance, gift annuities or deferred gift annuities. You may enjoy a tax savings while ensuring Soroptimist International of the Americas’ programs will make the dreams of women and girls come true for years to come.
