Service Spotlight: Disability Resources

Disability Resources is committed to advocating for an accessible learning environment for all students at Red Deer College. Prospective and current students (including apprentices) with documented disabilities affecting mobility, learning, and physical or mental health can register to access resources and accommodations needed to achieve their learning outcomes. Students can connect with a member of our team to review documentation, discuss your needs and arrange appropriate resources and accommodations. Resources and accommodations can include classroom accommodations to make the environment more accessible and reduce the barriers a student may experience. Other resources and accommodations can include exam and test accommodations to alter exam accommodations to allow eligible students to demonstrate their knowledge. Assistive technology and software can support students in accessing their course materials in a format that best supports their learning in addition to support for government-based grants for students with permanent disabilities.
