MOVE IT UP Project
Mobilizing Organizations via Equitable Immunizations and Testing through Unified Partnerships
The MOVE IT UP Project focuses on improving access for Latinx farmworkers and African Americans and will serve rural and urban areas with low vaccination rates.
The Center for Reducing Health Disparities and UC Davis Health are partnering with the California Department of Public Health’s Office of Health Equity to increase testing access and vaccine uptake in underserved populations in Sacramento and Yolo counties.  The MOVE IT UP Project focuses on improving access for African Americans and Latinx farmworkers and will serve urban and rural areas with low vaccination rates.  CRHD and UC Davis Health are partnering with local organizations including City Church, the Sacramento Black Media Coalition (SBMC), the Health Education Council and other local community-based organizations to increase vaccine equity in these traditionally underserved populations. The project has mobile vaccine and testing units that will be available five days a week, including regular evening and weekend hours.
If you are interested in learning more or would like to partner with us to bring testing and vaccination to areas of need in Sacramento and Yolo counties, please visit our website at, complete the MOVE IT UP Project Contact Form (click here), or contact Gabriela Alaniz at
