The Center for Reducing Health Disparities (CRHD) in collaboration with the Clinical and Translational Sciences Center (CTSC) is currently recruiting for a Community Engagement Program Manager. Under the leadership of the Director of CRHD, this position will provide programmatic oversight to the Community Engagement Program within the CTSC. The overarching mission of the Community Engagement Program is to ensure engagement of the community and integrate special populations into University of California Davis Health (UCDH)’s research enterprise to ensure that breakthroughs are translated for the benefit of society and its subpopulations.
This position will be critical in furthering the mission of the CTSC’s Community Engagement Program with the goal of extending community-engaged research models to existing and new populations and partnerships. This position will work towards strengthening the capacity of research, clinical, and patient communities to participate in community-engaged research and advance the science of community-engaged research involving underserved and other special populations. The person in this role will work across health disciplines within the UCDH, facilitate joint health research projects, create and implement training programs, identify appropriate funding sources, and strengthen the infrastructure within the CTSC to forge and support community-UCDH research partnerships.
