CRHD Project Update

Our new report advocates for the importance of trauma-informed care and services to immigrants. The report is the result of a 3-part virtual symposium last summer where leading experts explained the chilling effects of anti-immigrant policies; shared ideas about trauma-informed approaches by health care, mental health and social service providers; and identified the financial impact of trauma on immigrant families, among other topics.

Sponsored by the California Health Care Foundation, and the University of California, Davis, Center for Reducing Health Disparities, the symposium explored trauma-informed care and identified key recommendations and best practices for providing services to vulnerable populations in California. We encourage you to read the report and reflect on the importance of improving the lives on underserved populations, specifically immigrant families. You can find the report here:
