As a snapshot of some of our activities and engagement with sites placed at risk in 2018, Docomomo Australia made submissions to relevant planning and heritage authorities on a number of contested proposals for demolition and redevelopment including Robb College, NSW; Bidura Court Precinct, NSW; Sirius Building Public Housing, NSW; and the demolition of one element of Federation Square for the proposed Apple redevelopment, VIC.
National activities have included numerous talks, tours and events, and the growth of the ongoing newsletter, website and national register. Members of Docomomo Australia have also been involved in the production of the forthcoming edited book Australia Modern: Landscape, Architecture and Design (eds. H Lewi and P Goad), Thames & Hudson which will published in 2019. Members and friends participated in the Docomomo International Conference in 2018 and have served on international advisory boards and committees.
