"PARADE" OF SAINTS
"Come let us worship God whose praises are sung in the assembly of the saints." (Invitatory Antiphon, LOH, All Saints)

In observance of the Solemnity of All Saints Day, Father Rector would like to have a display of statues of saints in the Cathedral sanctuary. This will take place from November 1-6.

In relation to this, he wants to barrow statues of saints from parishioners. And so, if you have statues of saints and you want to lend it to the Cathedral for a week of display, please bring it to the parish office or when you come to church for Mass this weekend. Only statues, pictures and/or paintings not accepted.

So that, we will not have any duplication, please know that we now have the following:

1. The Blessed Virgin Mary
2. St. Joseph
3. The Holy Family
4. St. Francis of Assisi
5. St. Claire of Assisi
6. St. John Marie Vianney
7. St. Andrew Kim Taegon
8. St. Therese of Lisieux
9. St. Anthony of Padua
10. St. Patrick
11. St. Lorenzo Ruiz

Families especially those with young children are welcome to visit the Cathedral every day from 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM to visit the different saints displayed in the Cathedral sanctuary (in front of the altar). 2. Thursday, November 17, 7:00 PM, An Evening of Reflection on Christian Funerals and Burials
GRATITUDE
Our gratitude to the following for their time and effort in assisting with the corresponding parish activities/events:

- Couples for Christ and other volunteers (Ernie Merz, Families of Alido, Brown, and Roallos) during the "Dinner with new parishioners last Saturday, October 22." It was a very good turned out.

- Miss Nuala Power, Ms. Christine Murphy and Miss Stephanie Becker, Sacred Heart School for the Blessing of the animals last Tuesday, October 25. It was good to see children, families with their pets.

- Silverio and Merita Raposo for their continued assistance to Fr. Rector in praying of the rosary (livestream via our Facebook page). Monday, October 31, 3:00 PM is the last day for the daily rosary from the Cathedral this month of October.

- Ms. Nuala Power, students and staff of Sacred Heart School including a few parishioners who came for the Living Rosary earlier today, October 28 by the school ground. It was beautifully done. At least, the children were introduced to the praying of the rosary.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONSTANT SUPPORT TO FR. RECTOR AND OUR PARISH.
Sacred Heart School hosted a ‘Blessing of Pets’ on October 25. Even though it was a cold day, there were many dogs and a few cats present. Sincere thanks to all who were able to attend. Thank you to Ms. Becker for supplying the pet treats!

Net Ministries visited our school on October 24 & 25. The team provided faith-based presentations and activities for the Grade Six and Seven students of St. Mary’s, I.C., and our own school. It was a wonderful experience for the students and staff members involved.

On October 27, the A.G.M. of Sacred Heart School took place. Various reports and plans were presented to the attendees. Sincere thanks to all those who freely give of their time, treasure and talents to make Sacred Heart School a wonderful place to learn.

On Friday, October 28, students, staff, some parishioners and Fr. Rector prayed a Living Rosary together. The students assembled in the form of a “living” Rosary and prayed the Joyful Mysteries. It was a special event for all participants marking October as the month of the Rosary.

The Grade 5/6 class celebrated the feast of their patron, St. Jude, on October 27. St. Jude is known and venerated throughout the world as the patron of hopeless causes. He was one of the twelve apostles. He courageously preached the Gospel, often in the most challenging circumstances.

Looking ahead, our Virtue of the Month for November is courage. Ms. Becker will host an assembly on November 1, Feast of All Saints. This assembly will also feature All Souls’ Day as an important moment when we remember our beloved dead.

On November 4, Grade 5/6 will provide the ministries for the monthly School Mass beginning at 9:00 a.m. at S.H. Cathedral. All school families and parishioners are welcome to join us. School Parish Mass is planned for Saturday, November 5, at 5:30 p.m. when S.H. School will be responsible for the various ministries.

Don’t forget to “Fall Back” on Sunday, November 6!
