Situation in Japan

Dec 11, 2020
We are writing to update you on our current situation. Please check the following and let us know if we could be of any help!

Travel Restrictions

Tourists are not permitted to enter Japan at the moment. The good news is that Japan has lowered its restrictions for visa holders (business and study purposes) from Australia, Brunei, China, Hong Kong, Macau, New Zealand, South Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Viet Nam.
For next spring, it is reported that Japan may accept small groups of tourists as a trial run (The Asahi Shimbun).  This means only authorized groups controlled by the qualified DMC (and might be the qualified Travel Agency) could travel to Japan before July. Please feel free to reply to this email for more information.
The government has also announced Phased Measures for Resuming Cross-Border Travel (as of Dec 4), so please take a look!

Situation in Japan

Since last week, the number of people infected is increasing, and the government is taking additional measurements. For example, restaurants and Karaoke bars that offer alcohol in the Tokyo area are asked to close at 10 pm until Dec 17th.
People are free to travel domestically, but travels to Osaka and Sapporo are currently excluded from the nationwide travel campaign (GoTo Travel Campaign) until Dec 15th, considering the situation in the cities. The Tokyo government asked people aged 65 and older and those with underlying health conditions to refrain from using this campaign.
On the other hand, the government considers extending the campaign until the end of June 2021 (as of Dec 2).
Most of our major suppliers have extended the suspension of their SIC tours until the end of March 2021 for the moment. This includes popular tours and activities in Tokyo, Kyoto, and Mt. Fuji. We will contact you by checking your bookings!

We have another newsletter for our product promotion. If you wish to receive emails about our services, please let us know. Recently, we sent our product brochure for 2021 and a free invitation to our virtual tour!
We are checking all the bookings by arrival dates. For FIT (individual travelers), we will not charge you for the cancellation fee until 21 days before the arrival date. Let's keep our eyes on the situation and make the final decision when it gets closer to the travel dates.
If you need further information, please do not hesitate to reach out to us! You can always reply to this email, and we would like to share our situation and discuss future services!
