In case you missed it, here's the info we sent out in our last iFundWomen page update*:

We know you’ve all been trying to patiently hold off on peeing your pants as you wait for your SheFlys to ship! We wanted to thank you again for your support and provide you with a wee-little update:

1) Pants Update 👖
We had hoped to ship your pre-ordered SheFly pants this month, but perhaps unsurprisingly in the start-up world, we’ve experienced some delays due to sourcing issues. As part of our dedication to sustainability and high-quality gear, we have spent the past several months trying to source fabric that meets both our environmentally friendly and technical fabric standards. Unfortunately, the fabric supplier we were working with misrepresented the quality of a fabric we had hoped to go with. Because we were unwilling to compromise on quality, we were forced to source from another mill entirely. However, after much blood, sweet, and tears, we are happy to at long-last announce that we have found another fantastic fabric — it’s comfortable, stretchy, moisture-wicking, pill-, snag-, and water-repellent (DWR), contains no cotton, and best of all, is coming from a supply of leftover fabric that would otherwise be thrown away! Doesn’t get more zero-waste than that. 😏🌎

So, we’re continuing on, full-steam ahead, and working our tails off to get your pants to you as soon as possible, because we know nature’s call is not one that has stopped ringing! To be safe, we are pushing our expected shipping date back to August, and are happy to announce that one of our co-founders, Charlotte, will be flying directly to our factory in India this coming week to oversee the entire manufacturing and shipping process! We will update you with a more specific date when we have more info. And, to thank you for being such loyal, patient rockstars, we have decided to throw in a SheFly Noso patch  (— a $10+ value — absolutely free, with every SheFly Hiking Pants order we’ve received.

2) Noso Patches & Stickers Update 🥳

Good news — most have already been shipped, and the rest will be shipping this week!

3) Kula Cloths Update 😍

They’re in, they’re absolutely BEAUTIFUL, & you should have already received yours!

4) SheFly Tee Update 👕

Shipped! Do you have yours yet? When you do, be sure to snap a pic and send it to us via email, Insta, or Facebook to be featured!

*If you've missed these updates in the past, we recommend that you add, and to your email contacts, to be sure we’re not headed straight for your spam folders in the future. ✅We'll be updating with our exchange policy soon!

The Fun Stuff
SheFly in 1st! It was a blast to compete in the iFundWomen Vermont Virtual Pitch Competition last week alongside other VT #womentrepreneurs. We are proud and excited to announce that we were able to bring home another $3.5K. A huge thank you to Mamava, Milk Money VT, The VT Women's Fund, VT Works, and Dagne Dover for sponsoring the event and making it all possible. We love our VT roots and we are so happy to be surrounded by so many boss ladies at iFundWomen!

Outdoor Retailer and Gear & Beer Summer Festival did not disappoint! Our team had a fantastic time seeing old friends and meeting new ones. We are so grateful for everyone who's been working for decades to make the outdoor industry a more inclusive space so that we can come to OR and feel like our voices do matter and we do belong there. We are ready to take on the #PantPatriarchy and we are so happy to be working in the same space as so many rad people!

🎤  Have you seen our TEDxTalk from last month? If not, definitely check out Co-founders Georgia Grace and Charlotte, and throw us a thumbs up or a share if you can relate! It was such a rush to appear on stage with so many talented Vermonters with so many ideas worth sharing. 🤯

SheFly on The Gear Show

Co-founder Charlotte talks about the history of women's pants, how she joined the SheFly team because of a medical emergency on an African island, and how her dad helped her summit Mount Rainier at age 14. Give it a listen here.

SheFlys in the Wild

Co-founder Georgia Grace recently tested out our latest SheFly design in the Swiss Alps & on the tallest mountain in Ireland, and let's just say it came in handy more than once! Check out more pics here.

SheFlys on Fire

Co-founder Bianca recently aced a firefighter test in Bandelier National Monument, carrying 45lbs for 45mins in an old SheFly prototype. This means she'll be working on prescribed burns with other bad*ss women scientists in the park!

Team Updates

The SheFly Team has been traveling far & wide, hiking up a storm, and crushing it in their personal & professional lives, all while keeping the start-up afloat & thriving. To catch you up:

  • Georgia Grace just returned home to the Appalachian Mountains after her Fulbright Fellowship year abroad in the Bohemian Paradise region of the Czech Republic. Next month, she'll be moving to Boston to start a job at Analysis Group. Let her know if you're in the area and want to catch up, or hear more about SheFly!
  • Bianca just started a new job doing ecosystem science in Bandelier National Monument. She has a pretty sweet set-up in a canyon and has been LOVING working outside all day, errrday (in her SheFlys!).
  • Charlotte graduated from Middlebury College and has been road tripping through National Parks all over the country. Currently, she's gearing up for her Watson Fellowship, where she will study women's empowerment in mountain communities across the globe, from India to Nepal to Chile to Argentina to Peru to France, and wherever else the wind may take her! She's headed to our factory in India at the end of this month, to oversee our first round of production.
  • Gabby and Ally both graduated from Middlebury College as well, and are settling into the post-grad life. Gabby has been busy with all-things SheFly, including traveling to Outdoor Retailers last month. Right now, she's been happy to take a breather to catch up with friends and family she hasn't seen in awhile. Ally is working as a social media & sales manager in CA, on top of working as an editor in chief of Middlebury's yearbook, promoting her own art (check out @allykatartshop on insta), and actively seeking a new kitten. We're so proud of them both!
  • Meet Orli, our newest team member and summer design intern! Orli is a rising senior at Middlebury College, where she studies Architecture and Environmental Studies. Born in Alaska and raised in Vermont, she spent her childhood playing in the tundra, Nordic skiing and hiking. She is excited to join the amazing SheFly team and to pee easy on the move!
