Thanksgiving
is almost here. This year, we at Shekinah Ranch give thanks for . . .

. . . Jesus and all His blessings
. . . allowing us to be involved in the Kingdom ministry
. . . the board that has stood by us all these years
. . . the completion of the first cabin
. . . the lives touched by spending time in the cabin (10 couples and 3 singles)
. . . the encouragement we have received from guests and others
. . . the work we were able to do around the cabin
. . . the partners who have committed to supporting Shekinah Ranch
. . . you—for your friendship and your prayers
We also give thanks for another miracle last week. Our basement “wood room” got almost filled with firewood in September, but we were short. For many reasons, we just couldn’t finish the project ourselves. God sent a young man to us to do community hours on Saturday. One of the things he did was cut logs at Shekinah Ranch. Our basement was the logical place to bring the wood for us to burn!

This is what one Christian worker says:

My experience at Shekinah Ranch has been truly transformative and arrived on my path at a very critical time in my life. As a pastor, I arrived at Shekinah Ranch during a point in my life and ministry when I was truly beyond spent, and daily felt as if I was on the verge of a breakdown. The demands of ministry and the fallout from spiritual attacks over several years prior had worn me down, and it was taking all of my remaining strength to simply “stand.” A very vulnerable place as a person, and certainly for any leader in ministry. But I had nowhere to turn with my reality. Nowhere to go with my own weariness as I continued to serve others and simply press on...

Investing in an intentional time of restoration at Shekinah Ranch for any pastor will have measurable impact on the health of any leader, and on the audience which God has entrusted to their care. Even the strongest warriors need a break from the battlefield. A time and place to gather their strength, rest for a while, and hear from the Father. Shekinah Ranch is indeed this type of oasis for the weary soldier. I cannot recommend this ministry strongly enough.
May you be blessed this Thanksgiving with God’s richest blessings!
We appreciate your interest in and prayer for Shekinah Ranch, and we always welcome any comments or questions.
