With Thanksgiving

We want to highlight a volunteer couple, who has blessed us this fall.
On this Thanksgiving, we have been truly thankful for a couple that volunteered at Shekinah Ranch for two weeks: Brian and Lori (Thomas) Weber. They spent a week as guests in the cabin earlier in the fall and were so blessed by God that they decided to come and help. “Places like Shekinah Ranch are so very much needed that we wanted to do something to make it possible for others to enjoy it, too. We believe in this ministry.”

Brian and Lori have their own ministry called Cruciform Life Int’l Ministries in Uganda but have not been able to return because of Covid. They have been able to do some of the ministry from here, but they have a lot of time for other things. Right now, Shekinah Ranch is a fairly quick and easy drive away since they are living in Colorado Springs, and so they have made the trip twice and stayed a week at a time. What a blessing they have been! From felling and cutting trees to building a berm to deep cleaning the cabin, they did a lot. When asked what the best part was in working here, Lori answered, “Being aware of God’s creation around me.” She especially enjoyed the mountains. Brian, a man who likes to do physical work and is very handy, enjoyed being a part of a vision and having a sense of satisfaction from accomplishing something. We at Shekinah Ranch just marveled at how much they did accomplish and what a difference they made. Thank you!

Lori wanted to make sure that we include a call to others to be part of Shekinah Ranch by volunteering or giving. We have many bookings almost through January, so we also appreciate prayer for the guests and us.

From the guestbook

From the bottom of our hearts we are thankful for the gift of this time and space! The cabin and everything in it, is just perfect. We especially loved the beetle kill pine used throughout which reminds us that even when all might appear lost and dead, then the Lord displays His glory and something beautiful is created. Time with Him this week has been precious.
