One of the longest days in a year is coming to an end...
Almost 35 years ago, God laid on Don’s heart a vision for Shekinah Ranch. He has owned this piece of property longer than that, and you would think he would have seen every corner of it. But just the other day, he happened upon a “secret rock garden.”  This photo is just of one part of it. Our hope is to clean the area up so that it can be a special place for guests to enjoy God’s handiwork.
It may not be interesting to you to look at a foundation of a building, but for us it’s exciting. Every step of the building project is progress—a step closer to having a cabin. (Don is standing about where the bedroom door will be.) The framing team should be here in a week. Christy spent Saturday evening with us, helping us think through interior design decisions. What a God-given gift she is! She loves to do the things that would cause great frustration to us. We had never imagined meeting an interior designer missionary, but God sent one to us just at the right time. And we are so thankful.
Shekinah Ranch board had its Annual Meeting on Monday. Among other things, we added another director to the board: Oliver Dossmann. He is the founder and President of Mission to Missionaries that operates a retreat place called EdenRidge in Tennessee. You can read about it at EdenRidge.org. We look forward to working with Oliver and learning from him. May we also ask for your prayer for his father, who is ailing.
We appreciate your interest in and prayer for Shekinah Ranch, and we always welcome any comments or questions.
