LEADERSHIP BLUEGRASS CLASS OF 2020

IBMA has announced the 2020 class of Leadership Bluegrass, an intensive three-day program of advanced-level interactive learning experiences designed to build commitment, motivate talents, and instill enthusiasm for addressing the future of the bluegrass music industry.

“This year’s Leadership Bluegrass class is as strong as any I’ve seen. The large number of diverse and high-quality applicants is quite a statement about the impressive qualifications of those selected and the reputation of the program,” says IBMA Executive Director Paul Schiminger

MEET OUR SPRING INTERNS

Hannah Bee is currently a senior at Belmont University studying Music Business. Originally from Charlotte, North Carolina, Hannah has been enticed by bluegrass from a young age. "I remember going to a few bluegrass music festivals when I was little and being struck by the pure talent of the musicians and singers that performed." With diverse musical tastes from Bruno Mars to Nickel Creek, we are excited to have Hannah's fresh perspective in the IBMA office! "While I continue my educational and professional journey I look forward to learning what it takes to operate a non-profit organization within the music industry. There is much to learn, and I can't wait to dive into the world of bluegrass through the IBMA."
Bailey Warren is currently a senior at Belmont University studying Commercial Violin Performance with an emphasis in Music Business. Hailing from Delray Beach, Florida, Bailey is already immersing herself in the Nashville music scene. She is currently touring with the progressive bluegrass group The Arcadian Wild and finishing the debut album for her Americana/Bluegrass group DownRiver Collective. "My favorite artists at the moment are Hawktail, Mandolin Orange, and Town Mountain. I am excited to intern with IBMA to become a more active participant in the cultivation and progression of the bluegrass community."
