IN THIS ISSUE

What a difference a month makes! Actually, what a difference a few days make. We know your inboxes have been bombarded with updates about COVID-19 and its effects on our community. We've sent our fair share of information over the last few days, so instead of repeating it ad nauseam, we will provide a brief description and a link to read more.

IBMA COVID-19 UPDATE #1:
  • We have created a Bluegrass Community Resource page with pertinent information about the virus, travel, alternative revenue streams, relevant articles, and more. Continue to check back as we update the page with new information.
  • As of right now, there are no plans to cancel IBMA World of Bluegrass 2020. We do not want to make any rash decisions about an event so far in the future. We ask for your patience as we work closely with the City of Raleigh to monitor the situation.

IBMA COVID-19 UPDATE #2:
  • Let's flatten that curve!
  • To do our part in this effort and to protect the health of each employee and family member, the IBMA office has gone to a remote working environment for the time being. We are still working our regular hours and will answer your emails and phone calls.
  • We will likely be pushing back ticketing and registration for IBMA World of Bluegrass. More information to come.

Stay safe and support your bluegrass community members!

IBMA Bluegrass Live! will take place October 2-3 this year, and will continue to include all of facets you know and love including the bustling StreetFest filled with live music, arts and crafts, and food from local vendors; the IBMA Exhibit Hall open to the public on Friday & Saturday; and a lineup of world-class music taking place at the beautiful Red Hat Amphitheater. While IBMA Bluegrass Live! will continue to be a free music festival, a limited amount of reserved seating will be offered for the Main Stage performances at Red Hat Amphitheater.

The event will also continue to be a fundraising vehicle for the IBMA Bluegrass Trust Fund, which provides direct financial assistance to bluegrass artists and other industry professionals in times of emergency need. (To date, the Trust Fund has given more than $800,000 in direct aid.)
