Hello everyone!
How is your skin today?
The skin is the largest organ of the body, with a total area of about 20 square feet. The skin protects us from microbes and the elements, helps regulate body temperature, and permits the sensations of touch, heat, and cold. Independently from pathological skin conditions that require medical interventions (dermatitis, eczema, rash, psoriasis, cancers, cellulitis, rosacea, acne, ringworm etc) it's important to be able to recognize sub-clinical skin conditions (your Fitzpatrick Skin Type might influence the observation - for simplicity we tried to keep native skin color out of the equation). We commonly use 5 to classify skin condition: Aging Skin, Dehydrated Skin, Sensitive Skin, Pigmented Skin, or Blemish Prone Skin. The charts below summarize it! Don't hesitate to schedule a skin health consultation. There are products to treat the following but our job starts before applying products as we are firm believers that skin health starts with the 3 pillars of wellness: sleep, nutrition, exercise and mindfulness (yes it's 4! Just checking if you are paying attention!)
