MUSEletter - Week of September 5, 2022

I THINK, THEREFORE I G.L.A.M.

Galleries, Libraries, Archives, and Museums (the GLAM sector) unite! We are so excited to get back on campus to see everyone and for classes to begin on September 12th. A reminder to check ACORN, your course registration, and if you were on any waitlists, to make sure you are good to go come next Monday.

Everyone loves looking over those new syllabi; however, don't stress if they don't appear on Quercus until the day of, or day before, class officially starts.

There are also a few more orientation events coming up and opportunities to get involved with MUSSA. A big thank you to everyone who came to our Movie Night, Trivia Games, and Park Walk!

Up Next:

  1. Scavenger Hunt on Sept. 4-9, ASYNC
  2. Pub Night on Sept 9th @ 7pm

MUSINGS

Musings is the Master of Museum Studies blog at the University of Toronto!

As part of the interdisciplinary community in the Faculty of Information at the University of Toronto and the museum sector more broadly, Musings highlights the professional and academic explorations of Master of Museum Studies and Concurrent Registration Option candidates. As a progressive and collaborative digital platform, Musings encourages those individuals connected to the MMSt program to share research, reflections, and practice, to join and actively contribute to the dialogue amongst museum professionals, locally and globally.

You can read great pieces here at the Musings blog written by your fellow classmates! Including two recent articles: 适量 "SHILIANG" THE APPROPRIATE AMOUNT by Jingshu Helen Yao and CAN THE MUSEUM BE RECONCILED? by Megan C. Mahon.

Keep an eye out for MUSINGS' call for new writers and material coming soon!
