Welcome Interns!

Our N.E.S.T (New Employment Skills Training) Program provides an authentic and meaningful work experience for young adults with neurodiversities. This first step into the world of work can be life changing and we’re so proud to be a part of their journey!

Stop by the Nest on a Wednesday or Thursday morning over the next few weeks to say “Hi” our awesome new interns exploring the skills of the trade. Come back to meet others throughout the summer! We’ll be welcoming 10 interns fabulous young adults this summer!

They’ll all be learning the coffee shop ropes from how to make a latte, to running our POS, working with customers and most importantly, gaining confidence.

Doggie Barks
Snacks with a Purpose

Do you smell peanut butter? You might think it is the sweet smell of cookies baking at The Nest, but you would be wrong! Our newest product, homemade Doggie Barks are a hit and have created more jobs for more young adults who are neurodiverse finding their way in the world of work!

These handcrafted bite sized dog treats are created from spent grains donated from three local breweries (Little House Brewery, High Nine Brewery and Surfridge Brewing). Our young adults combine the grains with eggs, flour and peanut butter, to make delicious treats for your furry pals.

Each purchase supports young adults with autism or other neurodiversities through employment training, social programming, and awareness/advocacy.

Pride Month at The Nest

June is the month when the world comes together and celebrates the LGBTQ community’s freedom to be themselves in everything they do. Love is love and at The Nest everyone is welcome, accepted, celebrated, encouraged and loved!

Join us all month for free rainbow sprinkles on any cup or cone of ice cream (or even on your latte or hot cocoa)! Just say CELEBRATE PRIDE and they are yours!

We have lots of fun PRIDE items to help spread the love and acceptance from bracelets, buttons and stickers to some rad windsocks and hearts – even mugs, bows and more! We’ll even toss in a PRIDE Tattoo (temporary of course) with any PRIDE purchase all month!!!
