WKE19 was dedicated to the last Horizon2020 open calls and proved to be, once again, the best occasion for key water actors to exchange, meet, discuss, and promote projects and consortia within just a day.

Durk Krol, Executive Director of Water Europe, opened this eighth edition by introducing the new publication on "Overview analysis of WE members & European projects", revealing that, thus far, 179 water-related projects have been funded under H2020 and that WE membership covers 74% of all participants to these projects!

This year, Naomi Timmer from the European Junior Water Programme gave an inspiring speech during the networking dinner. Naomi stressed out that the water sector can be innovative and ready for the future only if we are open to social innovation.
