Water Governance Award: Augas de Galicia
Water Technology & Infrastructure Award: Industrie De Nora
Digital Water Award: AM-TEAM
Global Water Challenges Award: ARVALIS – Institute du végétal

Meet the Winners

Eleonora Evi is the winner of the Water-Smart MEP Award. Eleonora has demonstrated an outstanding work as a Member of the European Parliament who has contributed to achieving a Water-Smart Society in Europe and beyond. Learn more about her role here.
MANHAT has won this year's SME Award for the Manhat technology: Sustainable water and floating farm solutions. This innovative technology is meant to produce water sustainably from open water surfaces by trapping the evaporated water mimicking the natural water cycle with zero carbon footprint and zero brine rejection. Discover more.
Augas de Galicia is the winner of the Water Governance Award. The winning INNOVAUGAS 4.0. project intends to move the water resources in Galicia towards an integrated management. The water management model addresses the protection and balance of ecosystems and natural resources in parallel with equitable economic and social welfare. Learn more on their official website
Industrie De Nora won the Water Technology & Infrastructure Award for its Sludge Ozonation application in Advanced Sewage Treatment. Using ozone to treat sludge, resulting from secondary biological wastewater treatment, the technology helps to safeguard soil and water resources, ensuring the status of European water bodies in preventing potential pollution. Learn more about this innovative approach.
AM-TEAM is the winner of the Digital Water Award for their CFD-N2O innovation, an integrated hydraulic-N2O biokinetic model for generating 3D graphs of hydrodynamics and water characteristics to spot N2O production hotspots in water treatment facilities. This kinetic model is the first digital solution to analyse and minimise the carbon footprint at water treatment plants, enabling better decision-making. Check more.
ARVALIS - Institut du végétal is the winner of the Global Water Challenges Awards for the developed ASALEE tool. Considering climatic and economic uncertainties and water access constraints, the ASALEE is a decision support tool able to allow farmers to compare different cropping strategies according to the technical potential of their own farms.
