Join us for a Congregational Meeting on Zoom

Sunday, January 24
As we continue to conduct the business of the church from afar, we will hold a congregational meeting on Sunday, January 24 at 10:30am.  Our congregational meeting is being called for several purposes:  to have our annual meeting of the corporation, to hear a report on our annual report for 2020, to inform you of the 2021 budget, and to approve the pastor’s terms of call for 2021.  We will have this meeting online through a zoom gathering.  Be on the lookout for the zoom link that will come through a congregational email to you this week.

Let Us Pray Together… Thursdays @ 10:00am
I invite you to join me for prayer on a weekly basis.  I will be hosting a Zoom prayer time on Thursdays at 10:00am.  This will be a time to share joys and concerns and to spend some time praying with one another, even if it’s just wordless groans!  If you are interested in participating please email Steve Marks – and let him know.  We will email you the zoom link information for you to join.
This is open to anyone and there’s no pressure to pray out loud if you don’t want to.   For those whose schedules limit participation at this time, I encourage you to stop what you’re doing at 10:00am and to offer a prayer with us from where you are.  Let us continue to seek God daily, joining together to pray for one another and for our world.  I look forward to praying with you!
Pastor Jeff

Youth Reach Classes
"We will be beginning a Reach Wednesday Youth Series on "Healthy Relationships". This series will run 8 weeks beginning Wednesday, January 27th and will explore what healthy interpersonal relationships look like, with regard to adolescent development and Scripture. Each session will go from 7-7:45 PM and will be taught by both Will and Maggie Sabillo. Will has been a student chaplain for 4 years at different schools and at different levels. While Maggie is a Marriage and Family Therapist who has primarily served children and adolescents. To accommodate for the different needs of middle schoolers and of high schoolers, we will have the sessions bi-weekly, with middle schoolers starting their series on January 27 and high schoolers starting theirs on February 3, alternating each week.

Sunday School Changes
Again, there is a change to youth Sunday schools which continues this week (1/24).
All youth, boys and girls, will have Sunday school each week, instead of the alternate method we had before. All middle schoolers will have their Sunday school at 9 AM each week and all high schoolers will have their Sunday school at 9:30 AM each week, as well. Zoom links will be sent the day before.

The Man to Man class begins a study called "Surprised by Hope" by NT Wright. Here is a little intro from this study... “Hope is about what lies ahead and is promised by a God who loves to bring hope to each one of us. It is also about the Kingdom of God breaking into our present-day realities and hope spilling out into the world today. These two ideas and realities are bound together and can’t be separated, as hard as some might try.” For more information and the Zoom link to join this class, please contact Steve Marks by email at

The FOCUS Sunday School class is beginning a study of the book of James using the study by Francis Chan on RightNow Media.  “The Book of James speaks to the realities of a living faith in Jesus—the kind of discipleship that is borne out of an authentic relationship with the risen Lord. James writes to believers who know suffering, who've faced trials, and who ultimately desire a deep relationship with God.” Please contact Steve Marks or Sue Newell if you are interested in attending.

We have launched a COVID-19 vaccine interest form for anyone interested in receiving the COVID-19 vaccine. Anyone can fill out the form regardless of which phase they will fit into.
The interest form will provide us basic information about someone in order to determine which phase they will fall in. If someone is eligible for the vaccine in the current phase and has provided a valid email and phone number, they will receive a link to schedule an appointment. If someone is eligible for the vaccine outside the current phase, their information will be collected and will receive notification when it is their turn to get the vaccine. The information someone provides will be kept private and secure. We will not ask for any personal information like credit cards, passwords, social security numbers, etc. The form can be found on our website here
Attached is the press release that is also posted on AppHealthCare’s website with additional information and resources. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns and thank you for all you have done to support our community through this pandemic.
