Let’s get to know this month’s Thank You Thursday recipient a little bit better!

This month's Thank You Thursday recipient is Lauren Lockwood, COPSD Case Manager!

Lauren has been a part of the Spindletop Center family for almost 15 years. In her role, she is a specialized case manager working with individuals who have both mental health and substance use disorders. She helps them find housing, clothing, food, and so much more.

Lauren's supervisor says that she is a dedicated employee, not only to Spindletop but also to all of her clients. She guides her clients to see their own potential and gives them hope to better their lives.

"Lauren is a true advocate for her clients and will literally stand by them in their road to true recovery! Lauren is loving and feisty, but she always puts the client first, even before herself at times." - Beth Crabtree

Congratulations to Lauren, and thank you for all that you do for the Center!

Special Report: Permanent pandemic fear

The pandemic. Will it go away? Will it happen again?

You might call it permanent pandemic fear. It's the idea that our everyday COVID-19 precautions feel more and more permanent.

KFDM's Joy Addison investigates in her special report.
