Thank you, Tarrytown Pharmacy!

In early March, Tarrytown Pharmacy agreed to travel throughout the state to set up mobile vaccination sites to provide an access point for HCS/TxHmL and community-based ICF/IDD providers, contractors and staff, individuals, and caregivers to obtain COVID vaccines.

At the beginning of March, IDD Provider Services, in conjunction with LIDDA Service Coordinators contacted and registered eligible individuals for the Johnson and Johnson single-dose vaccination.

Spindletop Center registered 212 people for vaccinations between March 3rd and March 9th.

Then on March 29th, Tarrytown Pharmacy provided vaccinations to individuals, staff and caregivers served through Spindletop Center as well as all other private HCS/TxHmL and ICF-IDD providers in Chambers, Hardin, Jefferson, and Orange counties.

Thank you to Tarrytown Pharmacy!

Thank You Thursday recipient!

This month's Thank You Thursday recipient is Crystal Bagby, Program Coordinator, LPC for Children's Mental Health!

Crystal has been a part of the Spindletop Center family for 17 years. In her role, Crystal leads a team of field caseworkers who provide services to children, youth, and their families.

Crystal's supervisor notes that she is a mentor for new supervisors and staff, and she is extremely knowledgeable about the services Spindletop Center provides to children, youth, and their families.

“Crystal is a quiet person who leads with a calm spirit but is approachable and easy to talk to. Crystal utilizes her counseling skills to mediate staff issues and provides guidance to anyone who seeks her out. Crystal has a wonderful sense of humor, and she makes me laugh, which is refreshing. I depend on Crystal for leadership and go to her for information on the different programs that I am still learning about. Crystal works diligently and with perseverance, which has served her well over the years through many changes. I am fortunate to have Crystal as a part of my leadership team!"
