Saturday, Oct. 5  Screening Q&A

David A. Aguilar: Astronomer, Space Artist, Author and Film Participant will join filmmaker Douglass M. Stewart Jr. for a post-screening Q&A at the OCC Planetarium on Saturday, Oct. 5.

David A. Aguilar is a writer, astronomer, lecturer and space artist. He appears regularly on The Science Channel and is the author and illustrator of numerous National Geographic books on astronomy, including the recently-published LUNA: The Science and Stories of our Moon. He was a member of the Hubble Space Telescope Repair Team. He directed NASA’s New Horizons mission special media team during the fly-bys of Pluto and Ultima Thule. David was a friend of Chesley Bonestell's. In the film, he discusses the paintings Chesley did for a 1947 article in Coronet Magazine called "The End of the World." He also amusingly tells how to make Chesley's notorious "Bonestell" cocktail.
