The weekend is nigh...

I hope the last two week have gone well for you in school, and you've enjoyed having the children back with you! I know a priority for many of you is to ‘check in’ on your pupils’ feelings and anxiety levels now they are safely back in school. I came across a ‘Safe Lock-down’ resource from LGfL which you may find useful. Cautionary note! If you do intend to use this resource or your own for that matter, please do ensure your teaching staff are refreshed with guidance on how to handle disclosures and your safeguarding teams are prepared.

Breaking news - further updates for safer recruitment checks…. For those of you who have been on one of our recent Safer Recruitment in Education Training sessions, you will be aware of all the most recent changes and updates. However, a further update has been announced and as of 1st April 2021, stand-alone barred lists will be made via the TRA and not from TP Online or the various umbrella bodies & supply agencies who currently sell these checks. We are waiting for further clarification and guidance from DfE and I will update you just as soon as full details are made available.

Have a great weekend, lets hope the sun continues to shine and do not hesitate to get in touch if we can be of any help. Email admin@safeguardingsupport.com or call us on 01274 752299.

All the best
Yvonne
