Winter Membership Drive Drawing Winners

We thank everyone who participated in RWN's winter membership drive by referring prospective new members! Our best ambassadors are YOU. Those who referred a friend who joined RWN were entered into our membership drive drawing. The winners were drawn at our Night at Naz March networking event:

Katie Borchers - $100 restaurant gift certificate to ChickMagnet

Adriana Skura-Palmer - One Year Free Basic RWN Membership

Congratulations, Katie and Adriana!

Our Explore RWN event is now called Explore & More – we have shortened the formal presentation and added a networking component where we SHOW, not just TELL, prospective members what RWN has to offer. After a brief overview of the organization, Explore & More attendees will join our Monthly Free to Members Networking, which is now called Meet & Mingle! Along with the usual networking with members, welcoming prospective members helps all of us widen our networks, share RWN experiences, and learn more about SIGs that may be of interest. Explore & More and Meet & Mingle! will be held in separate rooms at The Brainery, and will combine into one group for networking and light snacks after the Explore presentation is completed.

Rochester Women's Network has a Facebook Group just for members! If you aren't a member yet, go here to join.

We have added new email addresses to help members and others reach us more directly, including,,, and These emails, in addition to our general, are checked frequently by committee members, so feel free to reach out should you need anything.

Business owners who are not on LinkedIn are missing a great way to reach clients and customers.

LinkedIn is a social media platform designed uniquely for business. It has many great features that can help you optimize your marketing. But many entrepreneurs do not take the time to explore LinkedIn or learn even the most accessible, basic features. And it is within these features that a lot of power resides, and that’s what we are going to talk about in this session.

This event will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at 12:00 pm at BTB Wood Fired Pizza Bar & Grill at The Mall at Greece Ridge.  Click here for more info and to register.

'Active Allyship': A new series guiding your path toward being a better ally

Posted on August 11, 2020

When Rochester Women’s Network developed a new vision statement last year, we were intentional about making a commitment to support and promote diversity and inclusion in all that we do. At the beginning of 2020, we launched our Diversity and Inclusion Committee to guide our work of being better allies through all of our committees, SIGs, and events.

Save the Date for the next meeting of The Motherhood SIG!

May 6th, 12pm-1pm

Topic: Talking to Kids about War (and other difficult subjects)

We'll discuss this article from the NYT. How do you handle difficult conversations with your kids? What's the hardest thing you have had to explain? Share what has worked for you, and hopefully pick up some new ideas.

Please RSVP to for the Zoom link.

The Leadership from Within SIG is for members interested in enhancing or expanding their leadership skills and will be structured to allow members to share their leadership experiences and ideas, develop their skills, and bring them to bear on their own lives through a combination of action and reflection.

Monthly gatherings:

  • Allow members to share their leadership experiences and ideas, develop their skills, and bring them to bear on their own lives through a combination of action and reflection.
  • Will explore all aspects of leadership, whether personal or professional development.
  • Are offered in a hybrid model: in-person or virtually using Zoom*.

The best part? You do not have to be in a leadership position or have formal leadership experience! The collaborative model of this SIG will encourage participants to contribute to the group and share responsibility for its development. Join us on the third Friday of each month, 7:30 – 9:00 a.m. to Lead from Within. To sign up, contact either co-chair: Stephanie ( or Karen (

Our members are our inspiration at Rochester Women’s Network, so the Programs Committee would love to hear your ideas on what events and programming you’d like to see offered in 2022.

This past year, members enjoyed speed networking sessions, social get-togethers both in-person and online, interactive talks on professional development and business-related issues, and of course our Women Rise conference, which featured discussions with panels of Rochester-area experts.

What would you like to see in 2022? Please email us at with ideas for programs and events and any questions you may have.
