Out of a world of inequality,
of winners-and-losers,
and too many left behind
we come together.

The world’s ways are not our ways.
The world’s ways are not Christ’s ways.

Out of a world of hatred, violence,
division, and life-taking power,
we gather as the body of Christ,
as God’s people.

God’s ways are inclusive,
generous, expansive,
and life-giving for all peoples.

Come and worship the One
whose love knows no limits!
Splash around in the renewing waters
of genuine community!
Experience resurrection
as we worship the Risen One!

Praise be to the Everlasting One!
We bring our hearts, minds and souls to
our God in worship today.

Prayers of the Church
Please send us your prayer requests via email by clicking on the link below.  We will use your prayer petitions in the Sunday morning prayers during this time we are apart.
Send Your Prayer Requests

Uplifted by the promised hope
of healing and resurrection,
we join the people of God
in all times and places
in praying for the church, the world,
and all who are in need.

A brief silence.

Build us up, mothering God,
as living stones united in your spiritual house.
Continually strengthen your church
as it is sent forth to proclaim your love.
We pray especially for all congregations
throughout this world, adapting,
changing and being transformed today.
Lord, in your mercy,
Hear our prayer.

Humble us, creator God,
as part of your creation.
Fill us with respect and awe
for the world you have made,
for forces that both destroy and create.
Guide us in stewarding what you have
entrusted to us.
Lord, in your mercy,
Hear our prayer.

Align our ways to your love, O God.
We pray for countries, leaders,
and other organizations as they prepare
places for those seeking health, restoration,
refuge and safety.
Lord, in your mercy,
Hear our prayer.

God of healing and rest,
help those whose hearts are heavy
and weighed down by many troubles.
Comfort their suffering, ease their distress,
and carry their burdens, especially:

Harold Walker, Gail Laurson, Dorothy Riglin, Pat Sandstedt, Greta Young, Bill Margheim, Paul Parsons, Dorothy VanDusen, Jean Rein, Jim Moss, Sandee, Ralph, Bob and Scott Brundige, Eric Laurson, Justine Ager, Lisa Santangelo, Bryan Braun, Bob Scrivano, Elena Martinez, Heidi Simon, Diana Hilt, Megan Walker, and Don Leidy.

Nurturing God, we pray for those
who tend and teach our children,
who have adapted and remained steadfast
in supporting and nurturing all children
in these adverse circumstances.
We give thanks for all people
who show mothering care,
and we remember all for whom this
Mother’s Day is difficult to bear.
Lord in your mercy,
Hear our prayer.

Into your hands we entrust all for
whom we pray, convinced of your
mercy and compassion.
We pray together:

God of life and love,
who brought forth the creation
and made us who we are;
we offer all of ourselves to You.
Receive our talents, our energy
and our joy, and use us to share
your love.  Take our mistakes,
our regrets and our pain, and use us
to bring Your healing and restoration.
Multiply and magnify our gifts and
creativity in these dark days,
to spread your light, peace and
presence in the world.  Amen.

Continue our digital worship service with the celebration of communion.  Full instructions are at the beginning of the video.  Please have a form of bread and drink available for the service.

Offerings & Giving
Your offerings continue to be important even though we are not together regularly.  They allow us to invest in new ways of being church in this moment and will continue to sustain our mission long after the current crisis passes.  Please consider these ways to continue giving:

Drop-Off or Mail Your Offerings
You can always drop-off your offering at CTK and place it through the mail slot in the office door.  We will continue doing weekly deposits each Friday.  You can also mail your offering to the office:

The Lord's Prayer
I encourage you during this time of being apart, each day at 9:00am, when we normally begin our worship, stop and say the Lord's Prayer.  Know that you will be praying with others from our congregation each day.

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name,
thy kingdom come, thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
and the power,
and the glory,
forever and ever.
Amen.
Join us live online Sunday at 10:00am!

We will gather for worship online in real time through a Zoom video conference.

This time of worship will include:

10:00am will be time with children and families and will include time to share about their week and a children’s message.

10:30am we will start our online worship experience that will include liturgy, music, hearing of scripture, preaching, reflection, structured discussion prayers of the church and communion.  Please have a form of bread and drink available for communion.  You can preview our practice in the communion video above.

11:30am we will have a 20-30 minute optional time of fellowship online.  As we have more people participating online on Sundays, it is harder to give everyone an opportunity to speak and engage with one another.  This is an optional time after the service where people can share and check-in with one another.  Pastor Joel will monitor but not facilitate the conversation.  More information will be shared at the end of the service.
