MAY 13 2019
Hi burners!

Hope your May is coming along nicely. If you're itching to dance or hang out with other burners and just can't wait until August, good news! See below for some super fun events coming up.

Our friends at Venice Afterburn are holding a fundraiser party downtown with some great DJs—you don't want to miss it! If you're not so much of a nighttime party animal, join some prehistoric animals at the La Brea Tar Pits for the LA Cacophony Society's Caveman Picnic. I'll be at both so come say hi :)

Are you day-dreaming about the playa and wish there was a low-key, local event you could attend sooner than August? Well, gather your clan and join the LA Cacophony Society at Caveman Picnic 2019! June 1st from 12pm-4pm, we'll be at the La Brea Tar Pits enjoying a potluck picnic while dressed in our caveman finest!

There will be a few activities throughout the afternoon, and it is a family-friendly event! Neanderthals welcome!

It's a public space, so if you plan to bring adult beverages, please plan to be discreet! Please RSVP through the Facebook event (not required, but it helps us plan for activities).

We'll be in the NW corner of the park, near the sloth statues and the log benches! Don't forget a blanket or towel to sit on (or chairs if you prefer)!

Be a good burner and bring your own reusable plate, utensil and cup! And remember, caveperson dress is required to participate!

Join us for another night of incredible art and music curated by the VENICE AFTERBURN, in collaboration with Dogtown Artists United! For the second fundraiser of the year, Venice Afterburn goes to downtown in the charming, industrial-zen space Awa Oasia.

Festivities will start at 8pm and go until 4am. Art, installations, and lots of dancing! Burner attire encouraged!

Come early! Free entry before 9pm (no re-entry)!
Presale (purchase here) $15
Tier 2 $20
Door $25
