CareerManenoz 2018 is officially Launched

The Kenya YMCA, under the umbrella of the Africa Alliance of YMCAs last week  launched the second edition of the annual YMCAs Career Expo and Beyond!’ dubbed ‘CareerManenoz II’. This was done at a breakfast meeting at YMCA Central Branch along Statehouse road, Kenya. The event brought together youth from across the country, Civil society partners, Media and other distinguished guests including Jato Syongoh, Stake Holder Engagement – Team Leader at KRA as the Chief Guest.

His journey into a life of crime started when he decided to be a “woonga” dealer which was meant to be a side hustle for supplemental income to provide for his 3 month old baby and his mother as he was not earning enough from his job in Glenwood. Business went so well that he ended up hiring someone to sell for him until he was addicted to the drugs he was selling.


Ghana YMCA trains Peer Educators for pregnancy Prevention Campaign

Ghana YMCA organised a two-day training workshop for 12 peer educators to assist in preventing the prevalence of teenage pregnancies in the country.

The peer educators who were drawn from the Greater Accra, Ashanti, Western and Volta Regions would be equipped with the required skills and knowledge to educate their peers on teenage pregnancy.

The incidence of teenage pregnancy is increasing in recent times and this challenge is partly attributed to inadequate information targeted at the right people in the right places.


Au titre de son axe stratégique relatif à l’emploi et entrepreneuriat des jeunes », UCJG/YMCA-Togo met à la disposition des jeunes le Centre de Formation en Entrepreneuriat Rural (CFER) situé à Avétonou (Agou). Afin de recruter la prochaine promotion d’élèves entrepreneurs ruraux, l’UCJG/YMCA lance un appel à candidature pour la sélection de jeunes personnes porteuses de projet dans le domaine agricole et désireuses de se faire former en entreprenariat agricole en vue de s’installer à leur propre compte.
La formation est essentiellement pratique dans les activités de production animale et végétale, création et gestion d’une entreprise agricole. Elle est organisée en régime d’internat sur le site de CFER et étalée sur neuf (09) mois.
