Kids Cup
On Monday 8th October 2018, Blackpool FC Community Trust will be staging the EFL Kids cup competition, which will take place at Stanley Park. Last year’s winners St John Vianney and all other Blackpool primary schools have been invited to form a squad of 8 pupils from their year 5 and 6 classes.
The winners of the two semi-finals will then get the opportunity to play the final at Bloomfield Road on the 20th October after the Blackpool FC vs AFC Wimbledon game. The winners will represent Blackpool FC in the Northern section of EFL Trust League One competition, where they will compete to play at Wembley Stadium. This competition is a fantastic opportunity for schools to give their pupils the dream of representing their school on a national front.

In October we will be running our FIRST EVER Fit2GLOW Football Tournament (Glow in the dark football) in partnership with the Lightpool Festival.
The Fit2Glow Football 3 heats will take place across Blackpool at three different venues.  More information will be published in the next issue of our newsletter.

Our Traineeship programme commences TODAY! Monday 1st October.  The participants will be given a number of opportunities to enhance their skills and network with local businesses.  We'll be letting you know how they got on in the next issue of the newsletter.
Here's a quick video from one of our

Tiny Tangerines
Our Tiny Tangerines Saturday Soccer School provides young children with the opportunity to take part in fun, non-competitive football sessions. There are three classes, Pre-school, Reception and Year 1+2 which are held at Play Football, Garstang Road Blackpool. The pre-school and reception classes focus on encouraging the children’s physical development which links in to the EYFS programme and also encouraging the children to be physically active from a young age. The Year 1+2 session focus is to help develop the children’s confidence and to get the children ready for either a grassroots team or our community provision such as Premier League Kicks.
Session times:
Pre-School – 9am-9.45am
Reception – 10am-10.45am
Year 1+2 – 11am-11.45am

BOO!  Don't worry I'm sure we'll have lots to share through this acedemic year!
