I have always loved the beauty of design and color. Working with my hands has always been a wonderful way to relax and de-stress. However, my 45 year professional life as a healthcare COO/CEO left little time for the pursuit of my artistic side. Retirement two years ago has finally enabled me to spend time developing my artistic interests. I find that trying to translate what is in my mind to an art piece challenges me to problem solve. Working with various materials and colors takes me to a meditative place and the hours that I put into my work becomes a labor of love. Year round, I make natural looking wreaths and jewel embellished frames and boxes. With every season, I expand my work to include seasonal items such as pumpkins, Christmas ornaments and Easter eggs. I am always experimenting with new items and learning as I go.
When not working in my “happy place” studio, I enjoy spending time with my husband, four children and four grandchildren!

Thankful for all our blessings!

As this year ends and the new one begins we are so thankful for the connections that we have made this year.
We are a community of creators at The Little Art Shop who encourage, promote and support each other and those who enter our gallery. Art is our journey - we have not arrived. We are experimenting, exploring, learning and growing on this creative path that stretches out in front of us. The Little Art Shop honors crafters and experimenters, the learned and the novice. Our mission is to inspire creative flow and encourage growth in whichever area your own creativity displays itself. May you and yours have a blessed Holiday Season.
