MYLH CAST ALBUM TO BE RELEASED THIS FALL
as you know, this spring my first musical, miss you like hell, opened off-broadway. but for many of you it wasn't possible to get to new york to see it. good news, in fact the best news, WE MADE A CAST ALBUM, and it will be released on Warner/Ghostlight this fall. i am beyond thrilled to get to share this music with all of you. i can't wait for you to meet our outstanding cast and experience this timely story. to whet your whistle, you can go behind-the-scenes of the recording session, and then you can check out this youtube playlist of songs from the show.
MY ALBUM "GRAND" TURNS 15
my second full-length album, grand, has just celebrated her 15th birthday. i took the opportunity to do a little digging in the archive and posted some fun memorabilia from the recording and touring of the album with #grand15. i also re-posted the essay i wrote on grand's 10th birthday. if you're unfamiliar with the album, please check it out. it's one of my best, if i do say so myself. you can stream it here or buy it here.
LISTEN TO ME ON "DESIGN MATTERS" POD
and lastly, i was a recent guest on debbie millman's excellent design matters podcast. good lord we touched on a ton of stuff, including some stuff i dont usually talk about - how i grew up, some of my more recent hard times, things you can't glean from social media posts. an adult conversation that i thoroughly enjoyed. check it out here.
alrighty, that's it for the summer. you'll hear from me again as fall gets closer. check out the new store, support some important causes, and thanks for opening this email ;)
