Right now we are on the verge of tremendous change and growth. All you need to do is to tune in to see that there is so much hurt, anger and fear in the world right now. Every day it seems like there is another crisis. Yoga teaches us many things beyond the physical postures. There are several tools in our yoga tool box to help us manage emotions and move forward during these tumultuous times. These tools help us see clearly and interact with all of the emotions and to find breath even when things may seem impossible. You may ask yourself - How can I live in harmony and balance in the world right now? Your yoga mat is a safe place to practice living.
  • I know it can be uncomfortable to feel all the feelings. Yoga teaches us to breathe and focus when things get challenging.
  • Lean in and listen. Through this kind of awareness we can begin to dig beneath the surface and explore what we are feeling and experiencing.
  • Explore Shadow sides. Not everything is OK… Your mat gives you a safe place to start to go a little deeper and look at the more primitive emotions such as rage, fear, greed and desire. 
  • Find breath. It is through the breath where we can find a sense of ease and stability.
