Happy Friday people,
Here's your weekly dose of things I have found interesting and inspiring around the internet, and hope you do too. Enjoy!
  1. Album streams:
    1. Black Coffee: ‘Subconsciously’ is a lush house record – melodic, moody grooves that work through headphones, but belong in a nightclub.
    2. Black Country, New Road: ‘For the First Time’ is an unusual rock record – long-form guitar work, incandescent saxophone and mercurial vocals.
  2. Animals: Charming, very odd animated animal mockumentary (4 mins)
  3. ASMR: LEGO has released an album of white noise made with their bricks.
  4. KAWS: Great piece on the rise of KAWS from tagger to artist to superstar.
  5. Tadpoles: Beautifully shot nature documentary about tadpoles (8 mins)
  6. Collage: Tamara Stoffers creates clever collages inspired by the USSR.
  7. Knowing: Brain-bending essay on the unseen ways that Google shifts what we know – and has changed what knowing even means.
  8. Library: Nice film about a librarian frustrated by an unruly book (3 mins)
  9. Bars: A lovely website that allows you to recreate sounds of your local bar
  10. Nuclear: Neat Kurzgesagt animation about the relative danger of nuclear power compared to other energy sources (10 mins)
  11. Butts: Interesting article about the obsession with Brazilian butt lift surgery.
  12. Piano: Max Richter’s tiny desk concert is 17 blissful minutes of perfect piano.
  13. Symbolism: Stacey Rozich paints intricate, lush and weird vignettes that combine elements of folklore, religious iconography and pop culture.
  14. Spy: An ex-CIA agent rates spy scenes from TV and movies (20 mins)
In case you missed it – the most popular link last time was this lovely and relaxing site that allows you to listen to recordings of various forests around the globe.
Link Me Up Scotty is a labor of love. So if you also love getting it, please spread the love by sharing with other like-minded people or posting on social media using this link.

Have a great weekend.
