G&SP Vestry Meeting With Bishop Douglas
Parishioners Encouraged to Attend!

Tuesday February 16th

Bishop Douglas will be joining us for the February 16th Vestry Meeting, speaking about our parish life and racial justice initiatives throughout the diocese. Bishop Douglas has provided "homework" to read and contemplate prior to the meeting, which is based on the ECCT wide-ranging resolution calling the parishes of ECCT to acknowledge and dismantle systemic racism, white supremacy and anti-Black bias. The homework includes:
  • the reading of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s “Letter from a Birmingham Jail”,
  • the reading of the original letter from the eight white clergy leaders to which Dr. King was responding (including the Rt. Rev. C. C. J. Carpenter, Episcopal Bishop of Alabama.)
  • Questions for discussion
You may access the homework HERE

Zoom information will be emailed Tuesday morning.

Shrove Tuesday Zoom Social Hour
Pancakes Optional (Pandemic Style!)
6-7pm February 16th

Join G&SP folks for a Shrove Tuesday social hour, and feel free to bring pancakes--or whatever you might be having for dinner-to the gathering.  Seems pandemics bring with them a "free pass" to eat in front of others!

This gathering is being held immediately before the Vestry Meeting, and there will be separate zoom links for each.  The links will
be emailed Tuesday morning.
