Special Edition of ECCT News
Dear Companions in Christ,
Grace to you and peace in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This year in recognition of Juneteenth (Saturday, June 19th) we commend to you the events and resources below in preparation for how you may honor and reflect on the oldest nation-wide holiday celebrating the end of slavery in the United States. We give thanks to all of the individuals, parishes, and ministries of ECCT that have contributed to this compilation. May you find them as enriching and informative as we do.

Periodically we request parishioners to review the names on the prayer list to ensure that we have a correct listing of those in need of prayer and support. We ask that you please review the prayer list at the bottom of this eNews, and contact the office to request that the name you submitted remains on the list. Names which have not been asked to remain listed, will be removed on the first Sunday in July. You may email Kim in the office at firstname.lastname@example.org with your request. Thank you!

FAITH STUDY GROUP
Tuesday June 22
The Faith Study Group is venturing back into in-person gathering! Our plan during these long days of early summer is to meet outdoors. In case of inclement weather we have the option of continuing with Zoom.
Our June 22 meeting will be at the home of Bernadette Jackson, 57 Humiston Drive, Bethany. Refreshments and conversation at 6:30, discussion beginning at 7:00 pm.
The Faith Study Group has almost completed our extended journey through the book "Manna and Mercy" by Daniel Erlander, a graphic-style tour through the entire story of God's relationship with humankind as told in the Bible. The group will be choosing a new topic as we complete this one.
If you are interested in joining the Faith Study Group, now might be a good time to do so. To learn more, please contact Gretchen Pritchard at 203-624-2520 or email@example.com. The group is always open to anyone who would like to take part. No advance reading or "homework" is required for the discussions, and no questions about our Christian faith are too basic or too complicated.
We pray for our ministries at Arden House and Whitney Manor. We pray for our Friday night dinner ministry. We pray for the ministry of Christian Community Action in New Haven, and the families they serve. We pray for our own parish of Grace and St. Peter's.
We pray for those in need of healing:
Liam, Paula, Andy, Frank, Sharon, Dan, Glenn, Peter, Mary, Mac, Alice, Bernadette, Marge, Sandi, Micki, Matthew, Peter, Nancy, Judy, John, Chukky, Elsie, Joan, Charles, Fiona, Marion, Dan, Debbie, Ellen, Nicole, Cassie, Phillip, Anthony, Mary-Anne, Margaret, Gwennie, Christy, James, Pat L., Ed, Alicia, Sean, Diane, Debbie, Esther, Candice, and Verna. We pray for those who mourn, and have compassion on those who suffer from any grief or trouble.
Joining the Episcopal Church of Connecticut in the cycle of prayer, we pray for: our own church of Grace and St. Peter’s; All Saints with Christ, Oakville; St. Saviour’s, Old Greenwich; and St. Ann’s, Old Lyme. We pray for Camp Washington: staff, board, counselors, and campers.
