LE RÉSEAU HEXAGRAM S'AGRANDIT !

Suite à l’appel à nouveaux membres étudiant·e·s qui s’est clôturé le 30 avril dernier, 24 nouveaux chercheur·euse·s-créateur·rice·s viennent agrandir et enrichir notre réseau. Nous souhaitons la bienvenue à tous et à toutes et nous seront ravis d’appuyer leurs projets et collaborations futures. Le prochain appel sera lancé en octobre 2022.   

Le Réseau compte maintenant 181 membres étudiant·e·s. 

THE HEXAGRAM NETWORK IS GROWING ! 

Following the call for new student members, which closed on April 30th, 24 new researcher-creators have joined our Network. We welcome all of them and look forward to support their projects and collaborations. The next call will be launched at the end of April 2022.  

The Network now counts 181 student members.

NUAGES DEMOS AND ROUND TABLE AT THE SAT 

A few memories of Monday May 16th, a day full of experiments and discussions under the dome of the Society for Arts and Technology. Thanks to all the participants and researchers who made this beautiful meeting possible! MAPPING DEBRIS TOGETHER MARCHE + ATELIER 

Retour en images sur l'activité "Mapping Debris Together" organisée par Tricia Enns [membre étudiante, Université Concordia] vendredi 20 mai. Une marche à travers le Quartier des Spectacles pour récolter des débris ainsi qu'un atelier ont emmenés les participants à réfléchir aux récits politiques, éthiques et culturels contenus dans l'espace public. MAPPING DEBRIS TOGETHER WALK + WORKSHOP 

A look back at the "Mapping Debris Together" activity organized by Tricia Enns [student member, Concordia University] on Friday May 20th. A walk through the Quartier des Spectacles to collect debris and a workshop led participants to reflect on the political, ethical and cultural narratives contained in public space. Read more.

TABLE RONDE : VISIONS TRANSATLANTIQUES, RENCONTRE ENTRE RECHERCHE-CRÉATION ET GÉOSCIENCES 

En prenant comme point de départ l’océan Atlantique, cette table ronde animée par l’artiste Juliette Lusven [membre étudiante, UQAM] et Anne De Vernal (GEOTOP-UQAM) sera l’occasion de faire dialoguer et d’expérimenter de nouvelles approches transdisciplinaires au croisement de la recherche-création et des géosciences pour questionner notre rapport au monde. ROUND TABLE: TRANSATLANTIC VISIONS, INTERSECTIONS OF RESEARCH-CREATION WITH GEOSCIENCE 

Taking the Atlantic Ocean as a starting point, this roundtable, moderated by artist Juliette Lusven [student member, UQAM] and Anne De Vernal (GEOTOP-UQAM), will be an opportunity to discuss and experiment with new transdisciplinary approaches at the crossroads of research-creation and geoscience in order to question our relationship with the world. The call for residencies for Hexagram-UQAM for Fall 2022 session is now open, until May 30th, 11:59 pm . This call is the gateway to the Demo component of the Hexagram Network’s programming at UQAM. CAMILLE COURIER – DESSIN : OMBRES DE GESTES 

Poursuivant l’œuvre participative Ombres d’exil, Montréal (2019-2021) qui décrivait les relations tissées par certaines exilées entre leur expérience de dessiner et l’invisibilisation socio-politique souvent vécue par elles, cette DÉMO de Camille Courier [membre étudiante, UQAM] explore et cartographie la résonance de son geste avec le dessin archéologique, en croisant captation de mouvement numérique et dessin traditionnel en grand format. Continuing the participatory work Ombres d’exil, Montréal (2019-2021), which described the relationships woven by certain exiled women through their experience of drawing and the socio-political invisibilization often experienced by them, this DÉMO by Camille Courier [student member, UQAM] explores and maps the resonance of her gesture with archaeological drawing, crossing digital motion capture and traditional large-scale drawing.
