THE NOTA-BULL

July 2019

Hi neighbor,

The NOTA Neighborhood Association would like to give a huge thank you to the Heartland School Solutions for their help in NOTA on June 27. Led by Marilyn Rosche and Joe Yokajty, one group mulched and weeded the Merriman and Portsmouth Gardens, while another group, led by Flower City AmeriCorps member John Flores, picked up trash from Norwood and Atlantic to the train tracks. They did a spectacular job!

We are down to our last two Bagel Brunches for 2019. Don't miss the chance to snack on free bagels and chat with your neighbors!

August 24
Co-hosted by the South East Area Coalition and co-sponsored by Wegmans.

September 21

Interested in being a Bagel Brunch coordinator or helping with other NOTA events?
We are looking for volunteers!

Contact us for more information.

The Rochester Area Community Foundation is the presenting sponsor for these events through the NeighborGood grant.

A group of local artists and neighbors will present Word on the Street Theater, a collaborative and interactive celebration of the performing arts in NOTA on Saturday, September 21st.

Starting at 12:30, there will be a Cross Walk Dance Party, a series of short plays presented in the street and on the sidewalks of Merriman, and a flag dance finale. An aerial arts demonstration on silks will tie all the action together.

After the show, let’s keep the celebration going. The street will be open, but the park is the perfect place to gather for some more family-friendly fun (that may even spread throughout the neighborhood).

The City of Rochester is asking for final comments on the Rochester 2034 draft by August 16. Don't miss this opportunity to contribute to the future of our city. You can submit you comments here.
