Welcome back to the newsletter, the first one I've sent after hunkering down during the pandemic. This time I'll refresh some content I sent out in the past that you might have missed.
Cro-Mags did a live stream performance recently, which was great, but the last time I brought up the band was when I was reading Hard-Core: Life Of My Own. The book is mostly tales of violence and drug abuse in the Lower East Side of New York City in the ‘70s and ‘80s, but it’s entertaining and a must for fans of the Cro-Mags, especially when Harley Flanagan would talk about touring and recording albums. Publisher Feral House made a video trailer for the book.

Many cities with an active punk rock scene have punk rock flea markets. There's been an annual one of these at a church in Washington DC for a while. I've got some pictures from one of those flea markets at the blog'sTumblr.

When I went to the National Book Festival I took a few pics of rockers that attended to show their love for books. The pics are up on the blog's Tumblr. This is informally part of a series of such photosets.

Like may rabid metalheads and punks, I've been going to Maryland Deathfest for years, and have been posting photos, videos, and interviews from Deathfests past. The organizers have released an update about the impact of the pandemic on this year's rendition in Baltimore.
Feel free to check out what's new at the blog. Thanks for reading!
