As discussed at the September meeting Jon came up with the idea of a survey to all community groups and services in the Tairawhiti region to get feedback on current collective issues that we may be able to help with and advocate for as a group.

We need people from all walks of life to sign up to volunteer, so schools in your community can sign up and schedule events and invite those people to attend

We are overwhelmed by the generosity and support we received at the Long Lunch this Sunday, 11th October. Both from our wonderful guests and the supportive local businesses who contributed to the event through product donations, auction items and service support.

We are extremely pleased to announce that with all this generous support Hospice Tairawhiti Long Lunch raised well over $15,000. All of this funding will be filtered into our palliative care and support services throughout the Tairawhiti Region.

We thank everyone who contributed to making this year's Hospice Tairawhiti Long Lunch a success and would like to encourage our supporters to support them in turn. We know there are many choices but choosing a business that is willing to support a local community-based charity is a great shopping choice.
