Bon appétit!

Hey there - it's that time of the week again!! I hope you are settling into your fall schedule well. For me that means finally feeling confident on the metro and sitting in cafés by myself. How are you adjusting to autumn in your city? What's the weather like? Let me know!

Au revoir, Peter!
Above is my CGF (close good friend) Peter on his last day in Paris. We had a really wonderful weekend together & I'm looking forward to visiting him in London in a few short weeks. For his parting gift he bought my roommate and I heart shaped cheese from the street market in front of our apartment. By the way: as a newfound & self-dubbed "cheese snob" my favorite is chèvre fromage.

Parc Buttes-Chaumont

At the beginning of the week I stopped in this beautiful park for lunch and stumbled upon a WATERFALL in the middle of Paris. I think the city was starting to sense the Ithaca-shaped void in my life. Here I admired the greenery for a while and thought about the difference between 'growing' and 'changing.'

Cuppa Café

Later in the week I had class in the Musée D'Orsay so I decided to pop into Cuppa Café just around the corner for some lunch. I went with avocado toast and homemade beetroot & sweet potato hummus. To be completely honest, I'm doing my best to forget how good it was so I don't spend all my savings on their lunch specials...

Thank you, Nanny

Clearly I've had some exciting lunches this week because on Friday I thought -- to spice things up a little -- I could slice my finger open while cutting a baguette!! I ended up not getting stitches but my beautiful grandmother helped calm me down & bandage myself, and then brilliantly suggested that I add the ordeal to my email updates. Voila!

That's it for this week, friends!! Today (Saturday) I'm off to Fontainbleu with my Study Abroad program/new friends, and next weekend I'm going on my first *real* trip. Stay tuned -- I'm pumped!!!

XOXO, Abby
