A bientôt

I'm writing this but not really processing it: This is my last email update from Paris. This time next week and the next and the next I'll be in a new city in a new country..........This is so sad Alexa play Paris by the 1975.

Le Marais
You've seen this picture of my favorite little rooftop a thousand times but this time it's on ~film~ !!! I'm doing a photo installation at school reflecting on my time abroad so I finally got my film developed and I have to say I am pleasantly surprised by how well it all turned out. This picture was more recent & specifically for my presentation, but there were lots of pictures salvaged from my various trips & everyday life abroad. Can't believe I ever cried over lost photographs.

Daumesnil

During my last few weeks here I've made it a priority to spend extra time with the people who have made my experience so meaningful. Here is my roommate Tali, and our CGF Alex. It's our first photo together all semester (?!?!?) but I guess that just means we were having too much fun to notice.

L'Orangerie

This museum is the posthumously donated collection of Paul Guillame, the art dealer responsible for the Barnes Museum in Philly. Because of this connection to home, I made it the first museum I visited during my time abroad. Re-visiting last week with my art history class to conclude our semester on Impressionism was an emotional experience. I have learned SO much about art & myself this semester. Hopefully next I learn how to put it all into words.

Tour Eiffel

And for your last bit of emotional shenanigans, here is a film photo of the first time I went to the Eiffel Tower this semester! Tali & I barely knew each other but we had a picnic on the grass together anyway. It was warm and we stayed until the sun set and the tower sparkled.

I'm concluding this week's email with a Kurt Vonnegut quote because it just feels right: "I
urge you to please notice when you are happy, and exclaim or murmur or think at some point, ‘If this isn’t nice, I don’t know what is."

All my love,
Abby
