The One Where the Grandparents Come to Visit

Spoiler alert: I love them very much.

Bienvenue à Paris!
On Thursday my grandparents came to visit & took the city by storm (literally... the weather has been all out of whack).

Foundation Louis Vuitton

On Wednesday I travelled just outside of Paris to the Louis Vuitton Foundation for a temporary exhibit on Schiele & Basquiat. Since then, my grandparents have arrived & I've thought a lot more about the political situation at home. This piece by Basquiat felt like a timely reminder of my/our responsibility as Americans no matter where we are. PLEASE VOTE!!!!

On Sunday the Alacquas and co. (I'm co.) took an early morning train to Giverny to check out Monet's home and gardens before they close for the season. The three of us were so pleased with our lovely trip that even Nanny forgot how cold we were!!

Rue de Lyon

While of course I am thrilled to see familiar faces -- and some of my favorite ones, at that -- it's also nice to be able to rediscover my favorite parts of the city. Let this email be a reminder to take time to appreciate what you love the most about the place you call home :-)

With love,
