Good day on this beautiful spring day. I can picture all the energy surging through your bodies – parents and children alike. I want to plead with you to channel this energy towards preparing for our Assessment Week.
I just again want to emphasize that all work that will be assessed, MUST be done at school. That includes tests, posters, projects like mini pats for Technology, art, music, etc. For the posters, the learners must collect all the resources at home and bring it to school on the day of the assessment. The information regarding these posters, mainly for PSW/LO, will be sent out prior to the assessment to allow for the collecting of the necessary resources and information.
The scope for the InterSen assessments was sent out to the parents on Friday. Please contact the school if you have not received it. Hard copies will also be handed out to those learners at school today and tomorrow.
Just a friendly reminder: have a look at the Blue and Red calendar (The Revised Calendar) that was sent to all families. This week we start on a Blue day but on Friday we end on a Red day (yes, Friday is a school day), because of the public holiday (Heritage Day) on Thursday. That means next Monday is a Blue day.
The assessments start next Thursday for some grades. These assessment planners have been sent out already. Please adhere strictly to these planners. I want to stress again that if a child is absent from school during this period, a medical certificate must be supplied.
Word Wizard tests will happen on Tuesday (Red Group) and Wednesday (Blue Group) for all our learners – even those learners who received exemption permission are welcome to join us at school. These tests will happen from 08:30 until 10:30. Those learners who must still receive their Blue collection forms, can then get that on these two days.
Here I just want to stress that the school really needs every cent that we can collect on these Blue Forms, so I want to challenge our learners and parents to go the extra mile with the filling of these forms. See how many of these forms you can complete.
Due to financial restraints, debtors fee statements will only be printed and sent home or emailed at the request of the parents. Please contact the Bursars telephonically or via email at the following email addresses:
