Parents/ Guardians, learners and friends…

A very good day to you all. There are only two weeks left of this first term of 2020. How time flies. There is still so much that must happen during these two weeks. Please see below the 4 (four) shortened days for the next two weeks. Please make the necessary transport arrangements for your children so that they do not have to be in the waiting garden for too long periods of time.
Parents must please make sure that their appointments for the Meet the Educator meetings have been set up. This is a very important opportunity for parents and educators to discuss matters relating to the academic progress of our learners. These meetings will take place on Tuesday 17 March (from 1pm – 8pm). Subsequently the time of the school day will be adjusted (please see below):

Please read the insert about the Corona Virus.
We also want to congratulate our two WP athletes who participated on Saturday. Zahraa and Ruzanno, we are very proud of you and cannot wait to see what you are going to achieve in years to come!
Protocol to speak to teachers is as follows:
Request to meet with the teacher by calling the school and leave a message for the teacher to call back OR
Write a message in the child’s homework diary requesting a meeting.
PLEASE do not call or come to the school and expect to meet/speak to the teacher immediately. If it is a BIG emergency, please speak to me instead.

REPS greetings to everybody

It was a tough competition at the Dal Josafat Athletics stadium when our two stars competed, representing Western Province at the Western Cape Championships this Saturday past. Well done Ruzanno Abrahams and Zahraa Cornelius for making it this far. It took hard work and perseverance to have come this far. The REPS family is super proud of both of you. Thank you for the support from our principal, all management staff and especially the Athletics committee for preparing our athletes for greatness.

Yours in sport
Mrs Moses
Jack George in Grade 4AA was on Scholar Holla on Heart FM this morning. He spoke very confidently when he was interviewed and made us very proud at REPS. He was part of the mini soccer team in Grade 1 & 2 and displayed outstanding talent. As a result he presently plays for two soccer clubs. When he was asked what he wants to be when he is big, his answer was “A soccer player for Manchester United”. Well done Jack – “Follow your dreams”.

Thank you to everyone who participated in Friday's dress up day. I'm so proud of our parents and learners who used their creativity by bringing book characters to life.

Congratulations to those who won best dressed. Pictures have been posted in the reps news.

I look forward to many successful events.

Dear Parents

A huge FUN RUN THANKS to all in the REPS family who supported this event. We having the final Fun Run assembly Friday 13th March. We are making a final appeal to all parents who have not yet returned the Fun Run collecting list or Blue Forms to return this to school as soon as possible. All Fun Run forms need to be returned for auditing purposes.

Thanks again.

School Extension Project 2020

On the 16 March 2020 part of our school becomes a construction site. We are building a new staffroom, an additional ablution facility and an extra utility class room. The area has been cordoned off and a site office has been put in place. The construction will begin in the quad outside the Grade 3 toilets. We are asking parents to make your children aware that this area will be off limits for the duration of the project. We are expecting this project to last about 4 to 6 months.
