Parents/ Guardians, learners and friends…

A very busy week is coming up.
This morning was good evidence of the fact that many parents are NOT reading The REPS News. It was discussed in detail in last week’s newsletter and a revised copy of the planner for the rest of the year went to all parents. Still a very large number of learners from the RED group turned up for school today. We tried to accommodate as many of them as possible, but since we have to keep social distancing in mind, we had to call parents to come and fetch their children if the classes were too full.
Tomorrow is RED group. Wednesday is BLUE group again.
Assessment starts on Thursday. On Thursday only the Grade 1, 3, 4 and 5 learners must come to school. The other grades must stay at home. NO RED AND BLUE GROUPS!
On Friday the Gr R, 2, 6 and 7 learners are doing their assessments. Then only those grades must come to school and the other grades must stay at home.
It may be a good thing to familiarize the learners who received exemption from coming to school, to consider coming to school in their various colour groups over the next two days to
  • Get used to the situation at the school
  • Do some revision for the different subjects.
Please read all the communication that was shared with you re the assessment cycle over the last few weeks. If you are still in doubt, contact the class teacher via the class email system, but make sure that you have the correct information. It will be almost impossible to do damage control after the fact.
Be safe.
REPS Greetings.
